Media Architecture Prize Hungary 2016

The Hungarian Epitész Forum has issued the Media Architecture Prize 2016. In this national prize a jury of architecture related experts have nominated 6 projects and 5 plans. An media jury has decided on the final winners on December 11, 2016 in Urania Theatre in Budapest. In the category "Buildings" was won by Györffy Zoltán for his design for the Catholic Church near Debrecen. The best plan was the Csontváry Museum designed by NART Architects.

The architecture jury consisted of Anna Yudina, Eva Beleznay, Florian Heilmeyer and Indira van 't Klooster (chair).

FAKRO inspires

FAKRO, a global manufacturer of roof windows has announced the winner of an international design competition for architects, named FAKRO Inspires – Space for New Visions. The task of the competition was to create a concept focusing on the re-design of an existing public utility building that focused on reuse in an innovative way. A10 new European architecture was mediapartner and part of the jury. The first prize of € 5000,- was won by Antonio Torres Sanz from Spain. The jury report can be found here.
